Hello, Owen Clarke here!

Based in Paris. Originally from Dublin.

I’m a photographer and theatre designer, specifically lighting. Having studied engineering in Trinity College Dublin, I was an active member of the theatre society, spending every other minute working on shows or fixing up the building.

Photography came later, growing out of the pandemic — starting with self-portraits, moving into production work, and eventually portraits. What carried across from theatre was an instinct for colour, shape, and texture, and a belief that how something is made matters as much as the result. I want the process to be as engaging as the final image — for the people I work with, and for anyone looking at the work afterwards.
